SWFL Regional Coalition Completes Regionalization — One Organization, Two Counties
The SWFL Regional Coalition to End Homelessness is completing a multi-year effort to regionalize homeless services across Lee and Collier counties. Beginning in January 2023, the coalition worked to merge the Lee County and Collier County homeless coalitions into a single organization with its own 501(c)(3) status. The Lee County Homeless Coalition will formally dissolve in July 2026, marking the completion of this historic transition while both counties maintain their separate continuums of care.

The Lee County CoC will host its annual Veteran Stand Down, connecting veterans experiencing homelessness with housing assistance, healthcare, legal aid, and benefits enrollment. Date and location to be announced.

The Collier County CoC has updates to Coordinated Entry procedures for partner organizations. All CoC members are encouraged to review the new guidelines and attend the next monthly CoC meeting for a full briefing.

The results of the annual Point in Time count for Lee County are available. The PIT count provides a snapshot of homelessness on a single night each January and drives federal funding decisions for the region.

Each year the coalition holds a community vigil to honor individuals who passed away while experiencing homelessness in our region. This year's vigil will bring together community members, partners, and advocates across both counties.
